The holidays are all about relaxing; For me, this means a bit of time exploring new technologies during my 18mo son William’s afternoon nap, typically from 1-3pm each day.
Today, I am looking at getting a package-based eucalyptus cloud running on my ZM-80-based laptop, as an experiment for future updates to my linux infrastructure. Ideally a Eucalyptus + Xen hypervisor combo based on debian packages would be ideal. Unfortunately package and distribution dependencies make this a bit of a challenge. My goal will to have a Debian Lenny or Ubuntu Karmic based setup as a sandbox to explore potential cloud applications for family, friends and enterprise use.
