Things are looking great for Jaunty, and the already released Debian Lenny. For virtual hosting, nothing is like the Debian v5.0 rock - stable and fully supporting Xen.
For standalone web servers, Ubuntu Jaunty is very similar, and just a bit newer. With Wordpress 2.7 and Gallery 2.3 + WPG2 supported out of the box, it may become the next webserver here, running as a virtual guest on the Debian Xen host that powers most of what you see here. Our transistion plan to Debian was nearly complete when a test run of the Jaunty Beta during an office Lunch n’ Learn I hosted recently put everything on pause and forced some reconsideration.
